Terena has worked as a shepherdess for nearly 35 years, and by working with sheep, Terena developed a deep love of the South Downs and the English landscape. This has driven her passion for protecting the environment.
Terena has owned her own small flock for the past 25 years and throughout that time span has used her sheepdogs to give demonstrations to school children, at events, corporate days and Birthdays.
With animals and the environment as a constant backdrop to her world, Terena qualified as a journalist and has worked on rural documentaries at the BBC, run The Sustainability Centre, set up and run The South Downs Natural Burial Site, was founder of the national organization the ‘Greening Campaign’, and written a book ‘Eco Centres and Courses’.

The Greening Campaign is now a full process for communities, so they can sit side by side with Councils and Government to create a better future for all children. It focuses on behaviour change, community energy, adaptation and a future full of sustainable communities.
Terena's focus has always been education and she can sometimes be seen with her dogs demonstrating the brilliance of the Collie whilst explaining habitat and the history of the South Downs - Flyte of Fancy Sheepdog Display.
