Keeping Sheep - A course for Beginners

A short course that will teach you the basic information you need to know about keeping sheep.

             Choosing the right breed for you
             How much land, what type of land, fencing the field
             Shelter

11.00   Legal requirements for keeping sheep
             Movement restrictions
             Tagging

12.00   Tea break

12.15   General Health Care eg worming, fly strike prevention and cure
             Foot care
             Shearing

13.00   Basics of lambing 
This is an intense course but will give you the information you need to make the basic decisions and start to care for your own flock.
